2012 Funding Opportunities

BBSRC Studentships

We currently have a number of 3 or 4 year BBSRC studentships available for 2012. BBSRC provide full fees and maintenance to UK Nationals, fees only to EU citizens but do not fund non-EU citizens. Full information regarding BBSRC studentships can be found at www.bbsrc.ac.uk/funding/studentships/studentships-index.aspx (look to the right-hand side of the BBSRC webpage for a link to their studentship eligibility guide (PDF)).

University Scholarships

Students accepted by the Department for graduate study are eligible to apply for the Christopher Welch Scholarship. Click for further particulars (PDF File).

International (non-UK/non-EU) students are eligible for the Clarendon Scholarships. Further particulars are available at www.clarendon.ox.ac.uk.

College Awards

St Cross College is offering an Osmaston Scholarship in Forestry for 2011 entry for either home or EU nationals. The college will contribute the equivalent of the college fee towards maintenance and Plant Sciences will pay the University and College fees and top up the maintenance to a full standard research council maintenance award. Other Funding Sources

Throughout the year we will know of other potential sources of funding and will advertise these as they become available.

IMPORTANT: Studentships and other funding will be offered to suitable and eligible candidates on a first come first served basis.
